As Team Leader for the Diabetes Management Centre (DMC) at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Stacey is responsible for ensuring best practices among the team of 40 staff.

Stacey has been instrumental in developing many innovative programs and services to meet the needs of patients and health care providers in the region. These programs include the Mobile Diabetes Team, Sweet Success Exercise Program for patients, the Getting Started and Insulin Starter Tool Kit, and multiple education events and preceptorships for health care providers. This type of unique support for patients and health care providers has led the DMC to be recognized as leaders in the industry and has received the Diabetes Education Standards Recognition Program for level of service from the Canada Diabetes Association.

Stacey has been asked to share her diabetes expertise and speak for the OACCAC (Ontario Association Community of Care Access Centres), multiple Canadian Diabetes Association National Conferences, the Ontario Pharmacy Association and many regional health care networks. She has shared her diabetes knowledge and experiences with many publications including Canadian Health, 50 Plus and Zoomer Magazines, the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star.

She is a graduate of Ryerson University, and has been a registered dietitian specializing in diabetes for over 17 years. She lives in Mississauga with her husband and two young children.
